Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design concepts, incorporating feedback to enhance accuracy in drawings.
  • Prepare site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts while considering site conditions and applicable zoning regulations.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and revisions of drawings to ensure precision and adherence to client expectations.
  • Maintain organized documentation and version control of all drawings and related project documents for easy retrieval.
  • Assist in preparing material take-offs and quantity estimates from drawings to support project budgeting.
  • Participate in site visits to gather field data and verify design feasibility, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Utilize advanced AutoCAD features, such as 3D modeling, to create realistic representations of civil projects.
  • Provide technical support to construction teams by clarifying drawings and addressing any discrepancies on-site.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and software enhancements to continually improve drafting skills and efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles.
  • At least 3 years of experience in civil drafting, showcasing a proven track record in similar projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with other design software like Civil 3D or Revit to enhance productivity.
  • Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent demonstrates a commitment to professional development and industry standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy to minimize errors in drawings and improve overall project quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines effectively.
