Roles & Responsibilities


Support and manage plant automation and control systems to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operation of production, utilities, and infrastructure equipment. The role is primarily technical under the Maintenance Department, with functional coordination with the Senior Production Manager to ensure automation systems and control processes fully support production continuity, process improvement, and factory performance objectives.



Automation & Controls Operations

  • Ensure the continuous and reliable performance of all automation systems, including SCADA, PLCs, BMS, MES, ERP interfaces, and associated IT/OT infrastructure.
  • Lead day-to-day troubleshooting, software backup, and integrity verification of automation systems to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to resolve control-related issues effectively and safely.
  • Supervise automation-related preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring systems are tested and verified for operational readiness.
  • Maintain full documentation and system backups for all automation platforms and equipment.

Projects & Integration

  • Support automation aspects of new projects, installations, and upgrades — including testing, commissioning, and system integration.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Production Manager, Project, and Utilities teams to ensure proper automation linkage across all lines and utilities.
  • Provide inputs for automation system optimization, energy efficiency, and reliability enhancement.
  • Participate in the evaluation and integration of new technology and process automation initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work in close coordination with the Senior Production Manager and production supervisors to ensure automation priorities align with operational requirements.
  • Maintain active communication with Maintenance, Production, Utilities, Quality, and Projects departments to support aligned execution.
  • Contribute to cross-departmental problem-solving sessions and continuous improvement meetings to enhance plant efficiency and reliability. Compliance, Safety, and Documentation

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plant automation, controls, and industrial maintenance.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA, BMS, MES/ERP systems, and control network integration.
  • Experience with automation systems for utilities (refrigeration, boilers, WTP/WWTP, compressors) and process/filling lines.
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing environments and international Quality & Food Safety standards.
  • Strong practical knowledge of PLCs, process control, and system integration.
  • Competence in automation software and standard office tools (MS Office, CAD, SCADA, BMS).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional technical environment
