Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation solutions for Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop, test, and maintain control logic and algorithms for various automation tasks, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Review and implement modifications in PLC, DCS and SIS systems.
  • Provide technical support for automation and control system engineering activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze system performance and identify areas for optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automation systems, providing timely support to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in FAT/SAT, commissioning and system integration testing.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of automation processes.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform software and hardware upgrades for ICSS equipment, ensuring compatibility and performance improvements.
  • Utilize simulation tools to model and validate control strategies before implementation in live environments.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve automation methodologies.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering,
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in automation engineering,
  • DCS/ESD/FGS- Awareness and Configuration knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of SIS, ESD, F&G systems and process automation.
  • Working knowledge of RTU, PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of Automation hardware – Design and Configuration Basics/ Fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Ladder Logic for control system development.
  • Strong understanding of protocols like Modbus, DNP3, OPC, or Profibus to ensure seamless communication between devices.
  • Certifications in relevant automation platforms (e.g., ABB, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric) are a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of IEC 61511 and functional safety concepts.
  • Experience in the oil and gas field preferred for domain-specific knowledge.
  • Flexibility to travel for site assessments and project implementation as required.
  • Excellent technical documentation and reporting abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
