What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Audio Visual Technology, Media Production, or related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an AV Role within a Hotel, Resort or Events Environment, showcasing a proven track record of success in the profession.
Strong Technical Knowledge of Audio-Visual Equipment and Systems.
Exceptional Problem-Solving Skills and the competence to Exceed Expectations in dynamic and competitive environments.
Sensational Teamwork and Collaboration skills to work effectively within a group and across departments with Fellow ‘FIVERs.’
Excellent interpersonal skills, leveraging strong verbal and written skills to engage effectively with Guests, FIVE Tribe Members, and stakeholders.
Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English (additional languages are a Plus).
Proficiency in AV software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the requirements of the Hotel.
A hands-on attitude, fuelled by a ‘Can-Do!’ Spirit.
Key Responsibilities
Confidently Manages the day-to-day operations of the AV Department, ensuring all Audio-Visual Equipment is Functioning Optimally and is set up correctly for Events and Functions.
Provides Next-Level Technical Support for AV Equipment, including Setup, Operation, and Troubleshooting of Audio, Video, and Lighting Equipment.
Maintains AV and Lighting shop drawings and files with ‘FIVE-Styled’ Flair.
Operates Audio, Visual and Lighting systems for Live Entertainment, ensuring Boundary-Breaking execution.
Enthusiastically Supports the AV Manager with Supervising and Training ‘FIVERs’ within the AV Team.
Fosters a Collaborative Environment and ensures that all services Exceed Expectations.
Demonstrates Sensational Teamwork by working closely with Event Planners, and ‘FIVERs’ in other Departments to understand their AV Requirements and provide Tailored Solutions.
Sets the Gold Standard with Maintaining all AV Equipment, conducting Regular Checks, and Managing inventory and uses ‘FIVE-Star’ Efficiency to ensure that all Equipment is in Excellent Condition and up to date.
Maintains a First-in-Class record of Problems, Solutions and Daily Activities.
Recommends Improvements and Updates to ensure Industry-Leading service offerings and operational Efficiency.
Stays informed about the latest AV Technology, Industry Trends and Best Practices, ensuring FIVE maintains its Leading Position in the industry.
Demonstrates a Remarkable Commitment to Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations, and maintains safe working practices within the AV Department.
