Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The B&W PTAB Industrial Performance & Strategy Manager is responsible for delivering & deploying a long term manufacturing strategy for the region inline with the manufacturing excellence principles. Following are the key pillars:
- Long Term Planning: Capacity & Capability
- Build a clear view on PTAB long term capacity & capability plan in line with business ambitions
- Ensure capacity analysis for key suppliers (CMs) in partnership with CM Operations.
- Long term capacity assessment of moulds in collaboration with procurement teams
- Assess volumes and portfolio movement/growth over next 3 – 5 years and establish suitability of current source network as well as materials supply
- Work with Engineering teams to develop capacity/capability expansion plans in for next years
- PTAB Supply Chain Strategy
- Work with E2E SC teams – Planning, Logistics, Procurement to develop/design the 3 yr strategy by market including Segmented Supply Chain and sourcing strategy for Market-making in line with BU objectives
- Lead Systematic deployment of manufacturing excellence/industrial performance programme
- E2E Goal Setting/Target-setting for Factories
- Facilitate Tools and Methods (toolkits) to attack the major losses supporting and maintaining the standardization across the clusters.
- Establish a common methodology for implementing WCM in the factories, providing coaching and supporting training activities
- Support site teams in UMS/Manex governance
- PTAB Savings Program
- Drive control cost savings program across PTAB B&W
- Support in crafting the deployment of material savings projects
- Technology & Support on Source Network Strategy
- People
- Support site teams development on core manufacturing expertise
- Ensure that IP activities are impacting both results and the culture change towards the vision as determined by zero loss mindset
- Governance: E2E SC KPI management & insights
- Leading E2E governance for all SC KPIs to ensure we deliver on our Focus, Excel, Accelerate agendas through the Year
- Virtual Sites & Collaboration
- Cross-pollination of people/cultures/processes across sites though formal and informal forums
- Best practice sharing
Desired Candidate Profile
Experiences & Qualifications
- 6 to 8 years in Manufacturing/Planning/Engineering and related roles in Core Supply Chain
- At least 2 to 3 years of strategic planning experience: e.g. Masterplanning, Factory Transformation, Supply chain/Planning transformation
- In-depth understanding of liquids portfolio & appreciation of B&W portfolio (current & future)
- Practical knowledge and experience of simulating source network/volume leverage business cases and impact on P&L
- Understanding of extended supply chain including customer operations
Skills
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing systems & technologies, labor models, factory financials & business financials
- Understanding of manufacturing & supply chain technologies and what makes efficiency in SC tick
- Understanding/Practical experience of manufacturing excellence programs: TPM, WCM, UMS, Lean, 6 Sigma etc and in-depth knowledge of complex problem-solving tools – esp Focused Improvement tools – to be used for complex problem solving
- Extremely good communication skills and able to think on strategic grounds using ambiguous information to work on strategic business cases
- Upwards & Parallel influencing
- Ability to work remotely with teams in factories and other parts of the supply chain and drive change through-out the organization
