Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust APIs that facilitate seamless communication between the server and client-side applications.
  • Optimize backend services for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high availability and performance under heavy load.
  • Manage database systems, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing to enhance data retrieval efficiency.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to ensure ease of understanding and future enhancements.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to peers while also accepting critiques to improve your own work.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and protect the application from potential vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize version control systems like Git to manage code changes and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning to resolve issues promptly and maintain system integrity.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously seeking improvements in backend development practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field to ensure a solid theoretical foundation.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in backend development, demonstrating a proven track record of delivering quality solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js, with hands-on experience in building scalable applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure, showcasing an ability to deploy and manage applications in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, allowing for optimal data storage and retrieval strategies.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture to create flexible and efficient backend solutions.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure, especially during system outages.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and team members.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies, keeping pace with the ever-evolving tech landscape.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring high-quality deliverables while adhering to project timelines and requirements.
