• Maintain an effective bar service with an emphasis on high quality, efficient service.
• Demonstrate a perfect knowledge of all beverages served in the bar, how beverages are prepared (to recipe) and presented, and how Bar personnel are trained to possess this knowledge and the application of it.
• Deal with sudden staff shortages through absenteeism and report all absences according to Company Attendance Procedures.
• Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies. Monitor Juice bar for seating availability, service, safety, and wellbeing of guests.
• To assist all areas in questions related to Nobu Restaurant and ensure at all times there is a transparent, smooth and healthy working relationship with all operating departments.
• To ensure the maintenance and care of chinaware, glassware and flatware stocks, bar equipment s and to adhere to the loss procedure.
• To ensure the Food Safety and Hygiene Management System is maintained in order to support a safe, clean and friendly workplace environment at all times for employees and guests.
• To be aware of competitive hotels/restaurants product and service and keep up to date with international and regional trends to maintain a competitive advantage.
• To travel as necessary to off-site events and locations.
• To be fully competent in techniques and knowledge described in the Nobu Food and Beverage manual.
• To be able to handle guest complaints within the required timeframe and inform the Restaurant Manager concerned on the result.
• To personally demonstrate a commitment to guest service by responding timely to guest s needs and inquiries.
• To have a full understanding of Micros and Respak.
• To follow and enforce correct POS operations, cash handling policies and cash security.
• To continuously share feedback on work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance, and/or safety.
• To ensure guest information is shared with all associates at all times.
• To ensure proper etiquette and manners are adhered to, respecting cultural sensitivity.
• To be able to explain Beverage menu, answer enquiries and make suggestions pairing the drinks to food.
• To collect and file guests special preferences.
• To be able to run errands and/or food and beverage required during service.
• To be able to plan, organize and serve VIP parties and groups and coordinate closely with group organizer must be able to make beverage suggestions based on menu and preferences.
• To be able to identify VIP s and utilize VIP procedures.
• Complete all necessary administration in accordance with Company procedures relating to all staff members.
• Maximize revenue and increase average spend per person through upselling, high customer service standards, effective training and motivational techniques.
