Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary: We are looking for an energetic and skilled Café Barista to join our team in the kids’ play area. The ideal candidate will prepare and serve beverages, snacks, and treats such as coffee, cotton candy, popcorn, and fresh juices. The Barista will also ensure the café area is clean, well-stocked, and provides a friendly, family-oriented experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages using the coffee vending machine.
-Make cotton candy, popcorn, and fresh juices for customers.
-Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the café area at all times.
- Handle customer orders efficiently and provide excellent service to parents and children.
- Ensure all food and beverage items are prepared according to safety and quality standards. Operate cash register/POS system, handle payments, and issue receipts accurately.
-Restock supplies such as cups, napkins, ingredients, and snacks.
-Assist with opening and closing duties of the café.
- Report any equipment issues or shortages to the supervisor promptly.
Desired Candidate Profile
-Previous experience as a barista or in a café/food service role (experience in a family or kids’ environment is a plus).
- Knowledge of operating a coffee vending machine, popcorn maker, and cotton candy machine. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
-Friendly, patient, and able to work around children and families.
- Cash handling and basic POS (Point of Sale) system skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
