Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Craft and serve a wide array of classic and innovative cocktails, ensuring consistent quality and presentation that exceeds customer expectations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders efficiently, and offering personalized recommendations to enhance their airport lounge experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, adhering to strict hygiene standards and inventory management protocols to minimize waste.
- Accurately process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash and credit card payments with precision and accountability.
- Monitor guest consumption and proactively address any signs of intoxication, ensuring responsible alcohol service and adherence to all relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with other lounge staff to ensure smooth operations, including assisting with food service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Stay informed about current cocktail trends, new products, and industry best practices to continually enhance your mixology skills and knowledge.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction and a positive lounge experience.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and responsible alcohol service.
- Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment, supporting colleagues and fostering a culture of excellence in guest service.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundational level of education.
- Holds a relevant bartending certification or equivalent, showcasing a formal understanding of mixology and bar operations.
- Has a minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume bar or lounge setting, highlighting practical expertise in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience working in an airport lounge or similar hospitality environment is highly preferred, indicating familiarity with the unique demands of the role.
- Exhibits strong technical skills in operating POS systems and managing bar inventory, ensuring efficient and accurate transactions.
- Demonstrates proficiency in English, with excellent verbal communication skills, enabling effective guest interaction and order taking.
- Possesses exceptional soft skills, including strong interpersonal abilities, active listening, and conflict resolution, essential for guest interactions.
- Displays a friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused personality, creating a welcoming atmosphere and building rapport with guests.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25 pounds, ensuring physical stamina for the role.
- Has the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting a commitment to meeting the demands of the airport lounge schedule.
