Position Overview
The Bell Attendant plays a key role in creating a positive first and last impression for guests by assisting with luggage handling, transportation coordination, and providing courteous guidance and support throughout their stay. This position is crucial in upholding M venpick s high hospitality standards and ensuring a seamless guest arrival and departure experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome guests warmly, assist with vehicle doors, and provide special assistance to children, elderly, or differently-abled guests.
* Handle luggage with care, ensuring safe and efficient transport to and from guest rooms or vehicles.
* Provide information on hotel facilities, city attractions, and local activities to enhance guest experiences.
* Coordinate with Valet Parkers for parking assistance and issue valet tickets when required.
* Manage traffic flow at the hotel entrance, ensuring safety and accessibility for guests and vehicles.
* Work closely with the security team to ensure adherence to all safety and access protocols.
* Retrieve and load luggage from cars, buses, or shuttles using proper lifting techniques.
* Double-check luggage counts before allowing vehicles to depart, ensuring accuracy and guest satisfaction.
* Assist bellmen during busy periods to maintain smooth guest operations.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and professional bell desk and lobby area.
* Follow department policies, service standards, and hotel procedures at all times.
* Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, displaying professionalism and courtesy.
* Report any lost or found items immediately to the relevant department.
* Assist with other front-office duties or special tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
* Uphold M venpick s service philosophy by delivering small gestures that create lasting guest impressions.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar front-of-house or guest services role preferred.
* Strong customer service orientation and a passion for hospitality.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional under pressure.
* Physically fit with the ability to lift and transport luggage safely.
* Team player with a cooperative and positive attitude.
* Well-groomed appearance and polished presentation.
* Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
* Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
