Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Navigate efficiently through urban environments to ensure timely deliveries, optimizing routes for speed and efficiency.
- Maintain the integrity and safety of packages by handling items with care and adhering to proper delivery protocols.
- Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details, address concerns, and enhance the overall delivery experience.
- Conduct pre-ride inspections of the bike to ensure it is in optimal working condition, addressing any maintenance needs proactively.
- Utilize delivery apps and technology to track orders, update delivery statuses, and communicate with the logistics team.
- Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations while riding to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on the road.
- Collect payment or process transactions securely when required, ensuring accurate handling of cash or digital payments.
- Report any incidents or accidents immediately, documenting details for company records and insurance purposes.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices, safety protocols, and company standards.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the delivery area, contributing to a professional company image.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or transportation is a plus.
- Proven experience in delivery or courier roles, ideally with a minimum of 1-2 years in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid motorcycle or bicycle driving license, with a clean driving record and adherence to local traffic laws.
- Fluency in the local language is essential; proficiency in English or other languages is an added advantage.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the delivery area to enhance route planning and navigation.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor repairs and maintenance on the bike when necessary.
- Exceptional time-management skills to meet strict delivery deadlines and optimize schedules.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Self-motivated and reliable, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to the role.
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of biking over long distances and lifting packages when required.
