Job Summary

Tetra Edge is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented BIM 5D Engineer to lead the development and implementation of 5D BIM processes for high-rise tower projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with main contractors and a proven ability to integrate cost estimation and budget tracking into BIM models. This role requires expertise in 5D BIM tools, cost management, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, MEP engineers, and project managers, to ensure accurate financial planning and project delivery. Previous exposure to 4D and 7D BIM applications is highly preferable.

Key Responsibilities

5D BIM Development & Implementation

• Develop and manage 5D BIM models for high-rise towers, integrating cost data and budget tracking into BIM workflows.

• Link project cost estimates and quantity take-offs with BIM models to create real-time cost simulations and analyses.

• Ensure that 5D BIM models accurately represent project costs, budgets, and financial forecasts.

• Conduct regular reviews of 5D models with project teams to identify and resolve potential cost-related issues.

Cost Estimation & Budget Management

• Collaborate with quantity surveyors and cost managers to develop detailed cost estimates for high-rise tower projects.

• Optimize project budgets by analyzing 5D simulations to identify cost-saving opportunities and propose improvements.

• Ensure that cost estimation aligns with project timelines, resource availability, and financial goals.

Coordination & Collaboration

• Work closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that 5D BIM models are fully integrated with all project disciplines.

• Act as the primary point of contact for 5D BIM-related matters, collaborating with clients, consultants, and internal teams to address project requirements and challenges.

• Facilitate effective communication between project teams to ensure alignment on cost estimation and budget tracking.

Process Optimization & Innovation

• Continuously evaluate and enhance 5D BIM workflows, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy for high-rise tower projects.

• Stay updated on the latest 5D BIM technologies and industry trends, implementing innovative solutions to drive project success.

• Develop and maintain 5D BIM execution plans (BEP) and ensure compliance with project-specific requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and deliver high-quality 5D BIM deliverables, including cost simulations, quantity take-offs, and financial reports.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all 5D BIM processes and outputs.

• Present 5D BIM models and analyses to stakeholders and senior management, highlighting key financial milestones and potential risks.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Certification in BIM management or related software (e.g., Autodesk Navisworks, CostX, Synchro Pro) is highly desirable.
