BIM DESIGNER (TECHNICAL ENGINEER) 3

The role will be responsible for the hands-on preparation and production of project plans and specifications. The job holder shall review, plan, create and manage digital 3D models for improved collaboration and project efficiency for civil engineering and construction projects. The job holder shall develop and maintain detailed 3D models of façade related projects using BIM software

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review project documents, identify the scope of works and determine design requirements.
• Develop design concept and shop drawings of all type of façade systems using AutoCAD (Stick, semi- unitized and unitized curtain walls, Cladding, doors and windows
• Develop and maintain detailed 3D models of infrastructure using BIM software
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for all facade systems.
• Propose suitable aluminium systems / designs in line with customer requirements, project specifications and design intent.

• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate information exchange
• Have a strong network connection with clients and other stakeholders
• Sustain and coordinate project deliveries tasks
• Detect and resolve clashes or conflicts in design elements
• Implement and maintain BIM standards, building codes, and protocols
• Create construction drawings, schedules, and project documents using BIM models
• Assist in estimating projects costs and quantities using BIM data
• Conduct quality checks on BIM models and update the BIM database
• Provide training and support to team members on BIM software and workflows throughout the project lifecycle

• Ensure compliance to project and performance requirements.
• Attend client meetings, present and review accordingly.
• Maintain files of working documents as back-up.
• Maintain excellent client relationships.
