Roles & Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the Design and Project Delivery Team(s) in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the BIM Manager for design-changes and model challenges.
  • Develop Civil3D Templates, pipe parts, structures and smart blocks.
  • Develop alignments, profiles, pipe networks (pressure and gravity) and to be familiar with creating and consuming Data shortcut.
  • Develop production template/title blocks.
  • Perform cut & fill analysis and extract quantities from the models.
  • Support the setup, development, configuration, establishment of the Common Data Environment (CDE) for Project use.
  • Perform as gate keeper for CDE (ProjectWise and ACC) for their disciplines.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Control templates following the organization's and Project s quality procedures and the Project's BIM production methods and standards.
  • Measure and ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submissions in accordance with Project standards and requirements.
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks on models and maintain tracker (both hard and soft copies) to confirm geometrical and non-geometrical information compliance with the Project's design and BIM requirements.
  • Review, monitor and report on the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models.
  • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.
  • Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the BIM Manager design-changes and model challenges.
  • Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.
  • Validate and export model geometry and data to schedules for internal design and commercial activities.
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks and report deviations of installation with approved coordinated models.
  • Monitor, perform quality checks and report on the quality of as-built models.


What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years experience of depth working knowledge on BIM delivery projects.
  • Infrastructure projects with utility modelling experience
  • Knowledge of BIM codes and Standards (ISO19650, PAS1192-2, BS1192).
  • Knowledge of General BIM Model requirements (i.e., LOD, Naming convention, parametric modeling, etc.)
  • Able to demonstrate (skill assessment) ability to set up new Civil 3D project files for the team
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and multitasking ability
  • Produce Civil 3D models according to project requirements.
