Inspect the new equipment prior to installation in adherence to company’s OSH policy, making sure all risks associated with the equipment (purchasing, acquisition, installation, training, operations and maintenance) are assessed and as low as possible, including:  electrical safety tests is done, as necessary, calibrated as necessary. Also making sure the service personnel from the local suppliers abide by the aforementioned policy. (Contractor and Supply Chain Management).

Install, adjust, maintain, and/or repair biomedical equipment with proper use of calibrated tools, PPE’s and safety precautions and ensure that all the bio-medical equipment and services are operating at an optimum efficiency.

Advise Branch Managers on the planning, acquisition, and proper use of medical equipment.

Advise and assist in the safe application of instrumentation in clinical environments

Carry out instructions and assignments issued by the Facilities Manager.

Attend to complaints received from the Clinic regarding malfunctioning or breakdown of any equipment or service, associated with medical system, in a timely and a professional manner.

Carry out preventive maintenance of equipment as per schedule that includes but not limited to, manufacturer’s standard and checklists, electrical safety tests as necessary, with the use of applicable PPE’s and precautions in adherence to OSH practices.

Maintain all logs and records of equipment repairs, modifications, alterations on asset listing and monthly reporting.

Maintain sufficient quantity of spares to ensure timely service for any breakdown to reduce the equipment down-time, in agreement with the facilities manager.

Shall maintain the list of all machinery, all the time with complete details about each machine/equipment available in the clinic.
