To provide daily onsite supervision and guidance to the
blasting / painting team in order to ensure that scope of work and jobs are
completed as per specific guidelines related to industry and ADSB quality and
safety standards, timelines and budgets.
Day-to-Day Operations
Responsible to supervise onsite day-to-day works,
providing guidance to the blasting / painting team and resolving related issues
in order to ensure that the job is completed as per the work package, drawings,
schedule and budget.
Task Assignment and Supervision
Authorised to Assign daily tasks to technicians (fabricators
etc.) and supervise the completion of these tasks in order to ensure that the
right people are placed in the right jobs and are effectively and efficiently
completing their tasks.
Quality Control
Accountable to Inspect, on a daily basis, all blasting /
painting works in order to ensure readiness for quality control inspections.
Job Tracking and Reports
Responsible to track the progress of blasting / painting
jobs/teams in order to update status reports and inform the Blasting &
Painting Supervisor about any deviations or issues.
Material Requirements and Use
Place material orders and ensure that material
requirements are provided timely and accurately to technicians in order to
enable them to complete their jobs. Also, control the use of materials in order
to minimise losses.
Maintain all relevant documentation in order to ensure
availability of test data and work scope records for any future reference.
Performance Improvement
Continuously monitor and evaluate blasting / painting
jobs and employees in order to identify opportunities for enhancing performance
using the existing resources.
Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
Adhere and ensure team adherence to all relevant quality,
health, safety and environmental procedures, instructions and controls in order
to guarantee the safety of employees, quality of products and services and
environmental compliance.
Employee is responsible for the aspects of Quality,
Occupational Health & Safety and Environment at work and will be
accountable for non-compliance of his obligation
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
Follow and implement approved departmental policies,
processes and procedures, provide instructions to subordinates and monitor
their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
As and when required by the Blasting & Painting
Supervisor, coordinate with internal departments and sections in order to
ensure the smooth flow of activities as per agreed standards, plans and

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of a certified apprenticeship program in ship building or equivalent qualification
Minimum Experience:
5 years of relevant experience in commercial and/or military ship building and/or repairs, including at least 1 year as a blasting / painting foreman
Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:
K nowledge of ships (i.e. performance, stability, technical drawings, technical specifications,
Knowledge of international ship building standards
Knowledge of ship building materials (quality, grade etc.)
Knowledge of paint specifications
Supervisory skills
Communication skills
Attention to detail
