Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of bus services and schedules.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all buses are roadworthy and serviced regularly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and transportation laws and policies.
• Resolve operational challenges by implementing timely and effective solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure network alignment and service optimization.
• Lead and train the operations team to maintain high standards of service delivery.
• Prepare and present operational reports for management and stakeholders.
• Serve as a point of contact for customer complaints and inquiries related to bus services.
• Implement route planning and adjustment based on passenger flow data and forecasts.
• Ensure timely and effective communication with drivers regarding changes in schedules or routes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in public transport or logistics operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of transportation laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to use data for decision-making.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• High proficiency in using transport management systems and other relevant software.
