Air Liquide AlKhafrah Industrial Gases (ALKIG), delivering gas solutions to a wide range of customers and markets through packaged, bulk or on-site supplies (e.g., automotive, metal fabrication, food & beverage, oil & gas, water treatment, laboratories, etc.). In addition, ALKIG hosts Air Liquide s Middle East Specialty Gases business unit, delivering pure gases and advanced mixtures meeting the most stringent quality requirements
Missions and Responsibilities
The mission is to develop AL business by opportunity management in the framework of a Marketing & Sales Plan and to protect AL customer base against technological and competitor threats. Business Developers are assigned one or several specific market segments and a geographical territory and works in a close coordination with Account Managers of the fields.

Desired Candidate Profile

Accountabilities & related Activities:
1. Ensures Market visibility and manages Development planning
- Initiates and maintains industrials contacts in his/her market to know about their customer processes
- Reports AL fields innovations and competitor innovations to the Business Development manager
- Knows and enforces the safety and quality procedures for his/her field of AL applications
- Works with the account managers on joint account and prospection planning according to the sales development objectives for the Market.
2. Leads prospection initiatives to detect new opportunities
- Coordinates with account managers prospecting visits plan.
- Participates to attractiveness score data of industrial sites of the market
- Contributes to select prospection list to feed sales opportunity portfolio in the related market field
- Manages opportunity detection and qualification by supporting account manager actions in defining priorities. Promote prospection internal tools.
3. Promotes selected AL solutions to potential and existing customers (prospects)
- Plans and Organizes with the sales Representatives Industry-Process the visits according objectives
- Develops and Leverages relationships at both a business and a technical level within customer organizations
- Proposes AL technical solutions to selected customers in order to solve their technical hurdles. Proposes tests of AL solution at customer's facilities
4. Conducts with Account Manager the opportunity development
- Elaborates technical offers, coordinates trials, start-up & customer trainings (with ALTEC if required).
- Writes the trials/performance reports and presents them to the customer.
- Builds technical part of the AL offer according budgetary constraints, HSE policy and local rules.
- Participates, whenever needed, in offer, contract reviews and contract signature negotiation following internal processes.
- Updates dashboards, opportunity lists, references lists of his/her market on regular basis.
5. Defends AL customer base against competition (gas and non-gas)
- Protect customer portfolio against competitor attacks through technical know-how transfer
- Identifies competitors threat through SWOT analysis, gathering corporate information crossed with local assessment. Reports it to the sales team.
- Detect growth potential at AL customer site on Sales Force request.
6. Ensures miscellaneous tasks to support sales force
- Supports marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events and whenever needed organises and/or participates to AL International or National events.
- Acts as a mentor/ambassador to Sales team to share knowledge, best practices and processes to advance the sales of our products and applications.
- Updates dashboards, opportunity lists, references lists of the market on regular basis.
Additional information
Education and Experience:
- English Language is a MUST.
- 3 to 5 years experience in relevant field
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Deep Knowledge of Industrial processes and gas applications within his/her Market
- Strong knowledge of internal and external HSE regulations
