Job Purpose:
The GCB Business Development Head for Middle East will work closely with the Country Business Manager and leadership team to support the growth agenda of Consumer Bank. The individual will provide expertise and help drive the execution of the most critical strategic partnerships and negotiations for the Consumer Bank. The incumbent s focus on key projects will ensure direct impact on decision making and holistic senior management attention.
The successful candidate will:
Collaborate with GCB s Leadership Team to prioritize strategic objectives against partnership, joint venture/white label and MandA opportunities
Lead the development of strategic analysis to inform, support and enhance GCB s growth strategy
Establish best practices and methodologies for approaching transactions across GCB
Oversee key analysis and support for negotiations while working closely with internal and external partners to structure and execute transactions
Evaluate potential transactions and business cases from a strategic, operational and financial and execution perspective
Maximize Citi s position when dealing with prospective partners and present a holistic Citi view; be a proactive conduit between Citi s Global Consumer Bank (GCB) and Institutional Clients Group (ICG)

Citi s Global Consumer Bank in Middle East has a unique opportunity to leverage its global consumer relationships and footprint, state of the art technology and leading consumer banking position to deliver customer value in a targeted and impactful way. To help us in our client driven growth agenda we are currently seeking a Business Development Head.
Key Responsibilities:
The Business Development Head will be responsible for the following:
Lead client meetings and pitches, providing strategic advice and proposals
Develop the strategy for securing new partner programs and business growth opportunity for consumer bank
Partner with the businesses to identify and implement strategic and tactical initiatives that provide a sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace
Actively manage and delegate prospective activities for assigned targets and pipeline management
Manage internal and external processes for sourcing, evaluating, winning and closing new strategic partner programs
Analyze prospects by gathering information about growth, competitors and market share possibilities
Lead and manage any potential transaction from beginning to close (client sourcing, pitching, MandA process, valuation analyses, due diligence, negotiations, closing)
Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities
Work with product specialists and subject matter experts across the bank to structure customized solutions that meet clients unique needs, meeting the growth agenda and are operational executable

Knowledge/ Experience:
7-10 years of management experience in Investment Banking or Consulting with expertise in financial services and knowledge in Partnerships and Fin Tech
In depth knowledge of financial services products including operational and execution elements
Exceptional relationship management skills and experience with senior client executives
Demonstrated success in managing internal and external partnerships and ability to negotiate complex structures
Skills/ Competencies:
Outstanding negotiating proficiency
Excellent stakeholder management skills to ensure alignment and buy-in across the organization
Continuously challenging the status quo
Conducts rigorous analysis and is able to synthesize complex and multiple source data into fact based and nuanced solutions
Key driver in working with stakeholders in implementing and executing the solution across the organization
Arabic language skills are an advantage for this role
Master's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or financial management or equivalent.
Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
