Our client is seeking to hire a highly motivated and talented Business Development Manager to join a rapidly growing boutique firm. Working closely with the research team, this new role will be instrumental in supporting the growth of the practice with new clients and partners.
- The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing strategies for growing "new business" while developing new as well as existing relationships, and selling a suite of existing and new customized services to MNCs and government clients
- Formulate and execute the sales strategy to grow new business
- Be responsible for a defined sales target
- Manage the entire sales process (prospect, quality, proposal, negotiate and close) and work effectively with the
analyst team
- Develop and implement an effective customized CRM system
- Support the wider team during quarterly private briefings, including public speaking to introduce EMIR to live audiences of CEOs
- Engage in all new business development activities (cold calls, email and face to face meetings)
- Manage all sales related expenses within the agreed territory and ensure spend levels do not exceed budget levels
- Work closely with the digital content editor to help target clients with the right promotional content
- Prepare new client proposals and to negotiate beneficial business terms. (Work with operations to ensure legal agreements are correct.)
- Prepare timely sales reports and manage personal pipeline and forecasts
- Develop creative ideas to drive new business opportunities

Desired Candidate Profile

- A polished demeanour coupled with a creative growth-mindset that helps drive new ideas and growth
- Solid experience in a consultative sales role
- Experience of both new business development and key account management as well as the experience of selling
research or consulting solutions
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience, an MBA is desirable
- Experience with clear, constant, accurate reporting
- Experience in high-quality management and servicing of existing accounts
- Strong knowledge of organisational capabilities and regional issues impacting business leaders
