• Managing the overall business development process in the company works to improve an organization s market position and achieve financial growth performance in a sustainable manner.
• This position will also defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
New Business Opportunities
• Research, leverage network and build relationships with new/potential clients, and the decision-makers within the client organization and turn this into increased business.
• Present an image that mirrors the client s needs, concerns, objectives and Participate in pricing the solution/service.
Client Retention
• Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
• Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
• Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

Sales / Business Development

Desired Candidate Profile

Business Development Planning
• Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
• Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
• Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Management and Research
• Managing company and client expectations through planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives to increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
• Responsible for heading up the company s expansion in new markets as well as continued expansion among existing clients.
• To lead, manage and continuously develop business-relevant best practices to ensure efficient and quality services to clients.
• Implement Market Research to collect accurate data indicative of existing operational performance, competitors performance, new market trends, and new market opportunities.
• To perform any other duties required by the business.
Minimum Experience & Qualifications
• Business Management/Economics /Statistics or Finance Graduate from a reputed University.
• Having work experience in Food Technology or a similar field for at least 5 years.
• Experience in Marketing is of added value.
