We are currently looking for people passionate about business development with an existing track record in the media database, news monitoring and analysis industry. Growth is a state of mind and we are looking forward to welcome consultative sales professionals wanting to make a difference to the market we serve.
You will be part of the industry and will understand the power of developing a network, keeping abreast of trends and market changes to provide strategic advice to all departments from product development to senior management.
Key Functions:
To bring profitable and sustainable revenues in all aspects of the CARMA revenues
To hit new business billings and volumes targets
To win and develop profitable client relationships, through the implementation of documented successful sales strategies
To implement a development strategy across the accounts won, aimed at building a dominant market position, increasing account yield and outperforming our competitors
Build strong, loyal client relationships and develop extensive knowledge of customers businesses, their objectives and how CARMA can help them achieve their goals
Advise the business on how we can add value to their accounts over and above the provision of solution/product
Feed customer-generated ideas for product enhancements to ensure that we continue to deliver best of breed product with clear differentiation and value as perceived by our customers
Ensure that our premium brand values are always upheld in all customer communication and in our dealings with customers
Being self-motivated and shows resilience in difficult situations, flexible and accommodating to meet the demands of fast paced sales environment
Make new business calls to prospect base provided
Convert prospects to customers exceeding short and long-term revenue objectives
Document all sales, prospect and account activity within Salesforce, managing the prospect pipeline and forecasting performance accurately
Feed into company-wide strategy on product innovation and service improvements to drive revenue and/or loyalty
Measures of success
Delivery of new business targets (value and volume)
Delivery of personal objectives
Highly regarded by colleagues and customers
Minimum 3 years B2B successful new business sales track record in the media, news monitoring industry
Experience in contributing actively to tender s content
Comfortable in field sales visit and group presentations
IT literate: Salesforce, Excel and PowerPoint to Intermediate level minimum
Trained in using Sales methodology
Self-motivation and Can do attitude including creative problem-solving abilities are key for growth in an entrepreneurial organisation
Great organisation and personal/time management abilities
Confidence and experience in reporting progress accurately and manage a pipeline effectively
