Position: Business Development & Project Manager (BDPM)
Level: 2
Department: Management (MA)
Direct Supervisor Administrative & General Manager (AGM)
Other Supervisors: HR Manager (HRM)
CPH World Media is a developing media company with special focus on digital & online media; as such; having appropriate business development and project management is of paramount importance.
I. Responsibilities
Business Development Manager
a. Develop current CPH brands and create / launch new brands via various media types such as industry portals, online services, directories, research and industry events.
b. Study and evaluate the current situation of the business & current media products to identify all gaps and weaknesses and take necessary action accordingly.
c. Prepare a new business plan for CPH (and its current media products) with detailed action plans for each department to follow and implement in order to ensure appropriate business development ensuring that business plan / action plans have measureable time-defined objectives / benchmarks / KPIs
d. Develop & retain clients by establishing a professional CRM (Communication & Relationship Management) system in CPH.
e. Coordinate with AGM, Department Heads (or Interim managers) and Solution Developer(s) (or other / 3rd party solution providers) to prepare detailed Requirements Documentation to ensure that appropriate and professional business solutions (windows & web) are developed to meet business needs and automate business processes / workflows of CPH.
f. Work closely with each Department Head to implement the related action plan(s) following a specific time-line.
g. Prepare & submit periodic development / work progress reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly or as requested) to AGM clarifying the performance of each employee towards BD projects and providing recommendations with respect to each employee.
h. Set all plans and policies and rules in compliance to Internationals Certifications which ensure that appropriate certifications (whether corporate for CPH or media for magazines or other media types such as ISO 9001:2016 or BPA Auditing ) are achieved.
i. Ensure that all employees conform to processes (procedures and work instructions) and update / enhance these processes or prepare new ones whenever necessary coordinating with related department head(s).
j. Work with Chief Accountant & Finance Manager to set forecasts & revenue goals for CPH media brands / platforms.
Project Manager
a. Maintain Operations schedule as per relevant timelines (MS Excel or Project documents) and track all Cost issues and Resources (material or human) assigned to various projects related to CPH & its media products / brands.
b. Maintain & control quality of work / tasks striving to deploy best-practices in CPH with respect to projects management coordinating as necessary with QC Officers.
c. Direct and oversee all aspects of day-to-day management of all projects alerting AGM to any urgent matter which require immediate resolve.
d. Monitor and control work performed by CPH team members as per projects & tasks indicated in their action plans; submitting feedback / recommendations to supervisors as necessary to ensure that work projects & tasks are proceeding smoothly as per expectations and on time with no delays.
e. Ensure projects operations are in compliance with CPH s business needs & requirements.
f. Coordinate projects meetings with relevant team members and follow up with them on the different parts and phases of the projects to ensure that projects are appropriately implemented according to requirements and no delays occur taking immediate corrective action(s) as necessary to ensure projects are implemented on time and as per requirements.
g. Submit periodic development / work status reports (daily, weekly, monthly or as necessary / requested) regarding project(s) development and progress to supervisors.
II. Qualifications
a. BA (preferably MA) in Computer Science, Management Information System (MIS), Business Administration (focus on management or digital media).
b. PMP Certified.
c. Digital Marketing / Social Media certifications. (Highly preferable).
d. At least 3 years experience in similar position in a media / digital company with a focus on new media projects (digital / online / social media).
e. Team leader and self-motivated professional, goal-setter and achiever, ideas-generator and implementer, get things done according to company objectives and on-time not exceeding set budget.
f. Very good computer skills (MS Windows, MS Office, Internet Usage / Digital & Online Trends) and has basic / beginner software development skills.
g. Pleasant & ethical personality, thinks about company and team and is committed to them and their development.
III. Work Phases
a. 3-months probation period. Warning Notice: Immediate - NSSF enrollment 10 days after joining CPH.
