Role Summary:
We're looking for an experienced Business / Energy Reporter to join our dynamic newsroom. In this role, you will deliver in-depth coverage of the energy sector, focusing on oil, gas, renewables, and energy transition trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report on major energy developments, including policy shifts, corporate strategies, and geopolitical influences.
• Deliver high-impact stories, analysis, and features on oil, gas, renewables, and energy transitions.
• Provide real-time coverage of breaking news and market-moving events.
• Conduct in-depth interviews with industry leaders, policymakers, and analysts.
• Cover industry events, conferences, and summits across the region.
• Write general business news reports in addition to energy-focused coverage.
• Create engaging content for social media, including visuals and data-driven reports.

Key Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Journalism, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business, financial, or energy reporting, preferably in the Middle East.
• Strong understanding of global energy markets, commodity trading, and geoeconomics.
• Excellent writing and reporting skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Established industry contacts and a track record of breaking exclusive stories.
• Experience with multimedia storytelling, data visualization, or social media is a plus.
• Fluency in English is essential; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
