Job Description

The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is a pivotal role designed to bridge the gap between business operations and IT functions. This position is fundamental in driving the business forward through strategic business-IT alignment and partnership. A BRM is responsible for understanding the business needs, designing appropriate technology solutions, and ensuring these solutions contribute to achieving business goals. They serve as a point of connection, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between IT and business stakeholders. Skilled in relationship management, they work towards fostering an innovative environment, identifying opportunities for technological advancements, and leveraging IT resources to enhance business processes, strategies, and profitability.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships between IT and business units.
  • Identify and articulate technological needs and opportunities within the business.
  • Facilitate the development of business strategies through IT solutions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather end-user requirements and feedback.
  • Provide expert advice on best practices in IT and business process integration.
  • Ensure that IT projects and initiatives align with business goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of IT-related business processes.
  • Develop and manage the strategic and operational business relationship with the IT department.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to resolve issues impacting business operations.
  • Communicate the value of IT investments to business stakeholders effectively.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with changes in technology or business processes.
  • Lead and participate in meetings to keep all parties informed of updates and developments.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Relationship Manager or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and how they relate to IT systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex projects in a timely manner.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovative and practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in business and IT management software and tools.
