Job Description

The Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement process in line with Saipem s policies and project requirements. This includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, issuing requests for quotation, negotiating terms and conditions, and finalizing purchase orders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The role involves close coordination with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to secure high-quality materials and services while ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers according to project and company requirements.
• Issue inquiries, review bids, and conduct negotiations to achieve optimal commercial and contractual terms.
• Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders and related documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, and logistics teams to align procurement with project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with Saipem procurement procedures, HSE standards, and ethical practices.
