Roles & Responsibilities



What Youll Be Doing

  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and upgrades of CAD software and hardware.
  • Ensure compatibility and integration of CAD systems with other software used by the organization.
  • Manage CAD licenses and ensure compliance with software agreements.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce CAD standards, templates, and workflows.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in drawings and models across all projects.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Provide training and support to CAD users, ensuring proficiency in software and tools.
  • Mentor and guide CAD technicians, designers, and engineers.
  • Assign tasks and manage workloads for the CAD team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CAD-related technical issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for CAD-related inquiries and support requests.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to address hardware and network issues affecting CAD performance.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure CAD deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Review and approve CAD drawings and models for accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of design documentation and presentations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve CAD workflows and efficiency.
  • Research and recommend new tools, plugins, or software to enhance productivity.
  • Develop automation scripts or processes to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Maintain documentation of CAD standards, procedures, and training materials.
  • Generate reports on CAD usage, performance, and team productivity.
  • Provide feedback to management on CAD-related challenges and opportunities.


What Required Skills Youll Bring

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in CAD drafting, design, or management.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, MicroStation, etc.).
  • Experience in managing CAD teams or projects is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
