Ensures all equipment in the service and bar section are in good shape and well-functioning
Follows up and ensures daily, monthly and yearly inventories are conducted by service and bar employees
Collects daily requisitions for Outlet Manager approval before they are sent to the purchasing function
Assists in the assessment of training need of employees
Ensures employees abide to personal hygiene code
Ensures proper communication between employees in all sections
Distributes tasks and duties among employees in all sections
Praises and encourages dining room employees for positive results
Provides regular constructive feedback to employees regarding their performance
Trains, develops and monitors all dining room employees to ensure consistent demonstration of required customer service standards
Actively coaches and directs employees throughout each shift
Immediately communicates to employees any changes in policy or procedure and any directives from the Outlet Manager
Assists employees in completing necessary HR forms (employee requests, leave form )
Communicates with the Hostess on reservations in all sections
Ensures all menu items are available in the kitchen and bar and report any discrepancy to employees in the daily briefing
Ensures the cleanliness of all sections
Ensures the side stations are well stocked and ready for the operation
Ensures all side works and preparation works are conducted correctly and fully in all sections
Follows-up on food and beverage orders, while coordinating between kitchen and floor
Assists guests with their orders, while performing up selling and cross selling techniques
Performs wine service protocol when ordered by customers
Makes sure all guests are pleased with the service and food items
Reports and resolves guests complaints and suggestions to the Outlet Manager immediately
Reports daily incidents in the log book and prepare the appropriate accident reports (in case of any)
Reports guest comments and complaints in the log book
Ensures all reports and checklists are completed by employees in all sections
Performs all related functions assigned by Outlet Manager
Creates an environment for the guests designed to stimulate all senses through personal services, amenities and experiences
Follows up with guests with additional services that enhance the guests experience
Handles guest requests personally and/or refer as appropriate
Creates luxury for all the senses by greeting and seating guests
Welcomes guests and makes them feel at home
Obtains beverages for guests if server is busy
Monitors service load throughout outlet and seats incoming parties accordingly
Helps waiter provide service during busy times
Follows up with guests throughout their meal to ensure that they are receiving the experience they requested
Hotel Management Diploma
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the restaurant or hotel business
