Job Purpose:
This role will work with the Head of Portfolio Management on the development and growth of the cards business in UAE and Bahrain Markets, across analytics, process re-engineering & digital transformation efforts, business planning and controls. The role requires a strong team player who thrives in a demanding and fast-paced environment. The role provides exciting opportunities for any candidate to build a career in Citi UAE.
Job Background/ Context:
Citi has a valuable Consumer franchise in the Middle East and is looking at further expanding the bank s leading presence in the country. UAE has an extraordinary growth opportunity given the rapidly expanding middle and upper classes and the accelerating process of urbanization.
The role of Cards Portfolio Manager will be part of the Middle East highly profitable credit cards business.
Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent will manage multiple aspects of cards business growth drivers. Key dimensions include:
1.Portfolio Management projects:
Drive analytics to improve efficiency of spend and lend campaigns
Pricing and fee related portfolio actions to drive incremental revenue growth
Commercialize spend/ lend campaigns based on new digital/ campaign capabilities
2.Process re-engineering/ controls:
Drive process re-engineering across portfolio initiatives
Implement robust control discipline across existing and new portfolio initiatives
Support on-going audit and control efforts
3.Business planning:
Leverage deeper understanding of portfolio management in forecasting drivers and revenue
Partner with finance function on periodic financial planning as well as ad hoc initiatives
Ensure product s day-to-day operations and new initiatives are in compliance with regulations and Citi s internal policies through regular business control reviews such as MCAs and IA reviews
4.Leverage technology platforms for portfolio campaigns and effective campaign tracking:
Review existing setup to identify any available revenue opportunities
Work closely with Technology and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that these system changes functionality work as intended
Tracking of such initiatives to ensure that results are as expected
5.Cross-sell:
Work in coordination with the Insurance Product & Telesales team to ensure that insurance revenues from portfolio sales can be optimized
Development Value:

Qualifications
Knowledge/ Experience:
3 to 5 years Cards business experience
Understanding of key portfolio marketing disciplines
Experience in analytical tools will be an advantage.
Strong planning, organizational, partner/relationship building and project management skills.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and finance skills
Project management skills
Arabic language skills are an advantage for this role
Qualifications:
Undergraduate or higher degree in Business or Marketing.
