Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group career counseling sessions for students and job seekers.
• Assess clients' interests, skills, and work values to provide personalized career advice.
• Develop and conduct workshops on career planning and job search strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date career information resources including job market trends and opportunities.
• Foster relationships with employers to facilitate job placements and internships for clients.
• Guide clients in resume building, interview preparations, and professional networking techniques.
• Collaborate with academic staff to integrate career education within curricula effectively.
• Provide support for students in managing career transitions or changes in career direction.
• Apply assessment instruments and interpret results to aid clients in career decisions.
• Track and analyze clients' progression and outcomes to enhance service strategies.
• Create and distribute any career-related materials as needed for client education.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality policies in all counseling services provided.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Career Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience as a Career Guidance Counsellor or in a similar role is essential.
• Certification in career development or counseling is highly desirable for this position.
• In-depth understanding of career assessment tools and counseling strategies is needed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for effective counseling.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse client populations across various age groups.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and client confidentiality.
