Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, and repair wooden fixtures, furniture, doors, windows, and cabinetry
  • Perform routine carpentry maintenance to uphold safety and appearance standards
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and materials using hand and power tools
  • Customize furniture and fittings to meet hotel design and functionality needs
  • Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping to address repair requests promptly
  • Inspect wooden structures for wear, damage, or rot and recommend repairs
  • Follow safety regulations to ensure a secure work environment
  • Maintain carpentry tools, equipment, and materials in good order
  • Support renovation and refurbishment projects involving wooden elements
  • Communicate with contractors or suppliers for specialized tasks when required

Desired Candidate Profile

High school diploma; carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training preferred

Proven carpentry experience, ideally in commercial or hospitality environments

Skilled in measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing woodwork

Proficient with carpentry tools and equipment

Ability to interpret technical drawings, sketches, and blueprints

Knowledge of building codes and safety requirements

Strong problem-solving ability and high attention to detail

Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and manual carpentry work

Good communication and teamwork skills

Flexible to work varied shifts and respond to urgent repair needs
