### **Urgent Vacancy: Carpenters – Malta**

### **Position: Carpenter**

**Location:** Malta

**Salary:** €15,000 – €28,000 (per annum)

**Language Requirement:** English (mandatory)

### **Key Responsibilities:**

**1. Planning & Project Oversight**

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and client specifications.

• Plan materials, timelines, and tools required for each project.

• Supervise junior carpenters or apprentices on site.

**2. Carpentry Work**

• Construct, repair, and install wooden structures such as walls, floors, doors, windows, cabinets, and staircases.

• Operate power and hand tools (saws, drills, routers, etc.) with precision.

• Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.

**3. Installation & Fitting**

• Measure, level, and fit components accurately.

• Install cabinetry, shelving, doors, windows, trims, and mouldings.

• Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, and other trades for smooth installation.

• Use appropriate materials (sealants, screws, adhesives, brackets) for secure and durable results.

**4. Quality Control**

• Inspect completed work for accuracy, finish, and safety.

• Perform touch-ups and corrections when required.

**5. Communication & Reporting**

• Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and clients.

• Report progress, challenges, and material requirements.

• Maintain records of completed tasks.

**6. Safety & Maintenance**

• Follow workplace health and safety standards.

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

• Keep work areas clean and hazard-free.

• Proven experience in **furniture construction** and **blueprint reading**.

• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

• English communication skills are essential.
