Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
• Assist customers by addressing their inquiries and providing relevant information.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with responsibility and care.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance business appearance.
• Ensure accuracy in pricing and checkout processes to prevent errors.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Perform routine checks and report any discrepancies or operational issues.
• Collaborate with team members to promote a positive work environment.
• Stay informed about current promotions and store offers to assist customers.
• Verify the authenticity of all payment methods and identify counterfeit money.
• Adhere to all cash handling and store policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with accuracy.
• Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with customers and staff.
• High school diploma or equivalent education level required.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other technology.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask effectively.
