Cashier

Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods, and reconcile daily cash totals.

Issue receipts, refunds, or change as necessary

Record daily sales under supervision

Assist with accounts payable tasks: Enter and code invoices and prepare vendor payments.

Support in preparing simple financial statements and reports, supporting month-end close activities: reconciliations, note-taking, and documentation support.

Support the storekeeper by helping receive new products, check deliveries, and confirm received items against inventory lists

Assist in organizing stock and updating inventory records

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cashier or similar role preferred
• Current students, preferably studying accounting (even if they have not yet graduated) are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Comfortable with numbers and simple calculations
• Proficiency in handling cash, Comfortable learning to use new system,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities; able to manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
• coursework or experience in accounting is a bonus,
• Integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
