Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CCTV systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability through strategic component selection and system architecture.
  • Conduct thorough site surveys and risk assessments to determine optimal camera placement, coverage, and system configuration, considering environmental factors and security needs.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues in CCTV systems, including cameras, recording devices, network infrastructure, and related peripherals, employing diagnostic tools and analytical skills.
  • Configure and manage network video recorders (NVRs), video management systems (VMS), and related software, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with security protocols.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance and calibration of CCTV equipment, including camera alignment, lens adjustments, and system health checks, to ensure continuous operation.
  • Develop and update technical documentation, including system diagrams, installation manuals, and maintenance procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and efficient troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with security teams, IT departments, and other stakeholders to integrate CCTV systems with access control, intrusion detection, and other security technologies, enhancing overall security posture.
  • Stay abreast of the latest CCTV technologies, industry trends, and security standards, identifying opportunities for system upgrades and improvements.
  • Provide technical training and support to end-users and other technicians on CCTV system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, fostering user proficiency and system utilization.
  • Manage CCTV system projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in electronics and system design.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM), or equivalent, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of CCTV systems, showcasing practical expertise.
  • Exhibits proven proficiency in working with various CCTV hardware and software, including cameras, NVRs, VMS, and related components, highlighting technical competence.
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective troubleshooting and system optimization, ensuring system reliability.
  • Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with stakeholders and clear technical explanations.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and detail-oriented approach, ensuring accurate system configurations, meticulous documentation, and adherence to security protocols.
  • Exhibits a willingness to stay updated on emerging CCTV technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for system enhancements, showcasing a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of networking principles and IP-based surveillance systems, enabling seamless system integration.
