Citizens for Digital Transformation, aims at increasing the impact of digital technologies into areas of Middle East excellence and will greatly impact the way we will make Cisco solutions available to
customers in the future.
EMEAR Marketing is made up of 7 theatres covering 121 countries across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia (EMEAR). Over the past three years this region has experienced a period of exponential growth and in the last fiscal generated $2B worth of sales leads. This growing region is at the beginning of an exciting transformation program as it prepares for the next stage of growth and evolution.
Role and General Scope
The CDA & Expo 2020 Marketing Leader (Country Digitization Acceleration) is a key role within the Marketing Organisation with accountability to create and drive the implementation of an integrated
marketing and communications plan for the Expo 2020 and CDA Programs across the Middle East. The role has the responsibility to ensure that the plan is aligned to overall global, EMEAR and local business.
It must meet marketing and communications objectives, and drive impact and results that support the country business. This requires strong alignment of the country sales leadership team which is a
combination of driving an appropriate balance of activities in support of the plan, and securing sales partnership of marketing execution.
This role has accountability to deliver the marketing and communication plan and execution of the marketing plan for the CDA and Expo 2020 projects in the Middle East.
The role requires good knowledge of Cisco s technologies and solutions, the market landscape plus experience in creating and driving effective integrated marketing programs across the country. Ability to align with global, regional and country objectives across sales and marketing is essential and being able to drive stakeholder buy-in and support for the marketing investments made is critical to the success of this role.
Key responsibilities will include:
Building the brand and thought leadership in the local market to position Cisco Investment as a key driver of country/region transformation, its impact on private and public companies and citizens
Define a plan and drive the execution of Country Digital, Social Media and Events in support of the business tracks pertaining to CDA and Expo 2020
Content strategy working closely with the EMEAR Content Teams, Theatre Engagement and Country Engagement managers
Management and planning of Marketing budget and fund allocation
Partner with Sales Stakeholders, CDA Leader and Country GM to determine key priorities, agree on strategy and KPI pertaining to projects
Communications agree strategy and execution with communications country lead to align to marketing, communications and business priorities
CDA & Expo 2020 Partners and influencers define a marketing & communication strategy with the CDA/Expo Leads and Business tracks leaders to support overall engagement plan of a broad
innovation ecosystem built across University, VCs, Incubators, Start-ups and also traditional Cisco partners and customers involved in co-innovation projects
Best Practice and knowledge sharing: Collaborate with the EMEAR CDA and Expo Marketing leaders community and Global Team to leverage experiences, knowledge and best practices across the team
Work closely with key internal stakeholders (sales teams, global and local marketing, solutions marketing, and technical experts) to provide a holistic project-marketing plan.
Ensuring that Cisco maximizes promotional campaign opportunities (including conferences, seminars, research, sponsorship etc.), evaluating and tracking pertaining to CDA and Expo initiatives
Project Management Skills that require to manage multifaceted projects simultaneously
Ability to influence at all levels, including executive leaders within Global, EMEAR region and the country organization.
Explorative of innovative and inspiring marketing ideas and concepts
Knowledge of Cisco s technologies, markets, customers challenges, and channel to be able to assess marketing plan fit to local requirements.
Excellent market expertise, up to date with latest market developments and be willing to be a Cisco marketing ambassador externally.
The ability to strategically contribute and manage in a cross-functional team environment with excellent organisational, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
Be Innovative and Create a culture of innovation across the team, encourage risk taking and accountability.

Fluency and language skills in English are essential with Arabic speaking/writing skills preferred.
