The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG ) properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotel brands. These include the luxury brand InterContinental, the superior upscale Crowne Plaza, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites and the vibrant mid-scale Holiday Inn (pre-opening). In addition to over 1000 bedrooms, the four properties boast a selection of high quality restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800 square meter Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000 square meters Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, state-of-the-art gymnasium and swimming pool facilities.
The Chef de Partie supports the Outlet Chef by preparing, presenting, storing and serving a selection of dishes. Promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group and the brand ethos.
At the moment we're looking for a Chef de Partie - CHOIX to join our team at InterContinental Hotels Group in Dubai Festival City!
The main responsibilities of this role are to implement a training plan for HACCP, allergen control, chemical control and glass control, to perform mock recalls and ensure identification, labeling, and traceability system functions as planned, and to ensure that all the food safety related documents and records are up to date, while keeping in mind the Dubai Food Safety Laws and Regulations.
Additional key responsibilities are:
Prepares, cooks, serves and stores the following dishes:
Appetizers, Savouries, Salads and Sandwiches, Sauces
Eggs, Vegetables, Fruit, Rice and Farinaceous Dishes
Poultry and Game dishes
Fish and shell fish
Garnishing techniques and methods of service for fish
Pastry, cakes and yeast goods
Middle Eastern and Arabic Regional Dishes
Prepares extensive range of regional food, including appetizers, soups, curries, sauces, dressings
Prepares sauces, condiments, seasonings and flavouring agents
Prepares braised dishes
Prepares a range of specialty chicken and duck dishes
Prepares a range of specialty seafood dishes
Prepares a range of vegetable dishes
Prepares braised dishes
Prepares hot and cold noodle dishes
Prepares specialty chicken and duck dishes
Prepares a range of vegetable dishes using regional cooking principles and specialty food presentation
Health and Safety
Hygiene and Cleanliness
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following qualifications and experience we're looking for:
MUST have knowledge & experience in French Cuisine
Well rounded experience of at least one year in a similar role
Good command of spoken/written English
Basic food hygiene certificates
