Job Description
• Contribute to the preparation and development of operational plans and targets and required human and financial budgets.
• Follow-up and ensure that all officers and supervisors to implement of operations plans and report on the progress achieved
• Direct and supervise operational staff, prepare and follow up implementation of scheduling of work activities, setting priorities, and solve problems of subordinate group leaders and employees.
• Prepare monthly financial reports identifying all major cost and revenue achieved on monthly basis including gap analysis and root cause identification and develop corrective actions.
• Provide reports and analysis on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to meet the strategic plans.
• Prepare progress reports for all open projects and strategic plans
• Develop and review health and safety standards, procedure and regulations to comply with RTA health and safety policy.
• Plan, design and implement a comprehensive risk management process for Depots, follow up and update the implementation of this process.
• Promote high level of awareness and adopt safe and health practices in the depots.
• Allocate the correct vehicles and drivers to daily operations and maintenance while ensuring continuity of service and uninterrupted in all circumstances .
• Carry out control and inspection of all Buses Department facilities and take the necessary action in accordance with the judicial investigations and conduct department facilities and lines field visits and prepare necessary studies and reports to improve service.
• Develop plans and programmes for self-assessment performance and contribute to close open recommendations for operation.
• Analysis and utilise reports and records presented by operational staff.
• Follow up drivers performance on routes and investigate complaints with plans to improve service and increase customer satisfaction for bus services.
• Develop communication plans with staff, drivers and follow up implementation and contribute to the development of corrective action plans to increase job satisfaction level.
• Monitor and audit bus accidents statistics and data and investigate those responsible for maintaining the target according to global best practices.
• Evaluate and verify staff and employee performance through the review of the completed work processes and procedures.
• Recommend work process changes in order to improve work place productivity and results.
• Participate in setting goals to individual performance plans for officers and supervisors and follow-up stages of revision and final assessment.
• Identify and develop staff competency and recommend training and development needs for identified staff.
• Provide assistance and guidance to operations personnel to optimize assets and stations facilities according to the policies adopted by RTA up to the highest levels of operational efficiency and increased productivity and utilizations.
• 24/7 availability to attend to emergencies and crises including site visits when required.
• Perform other responsibilities related to the position as appropriate
