Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in chiller compressor systems, using diagnostic tools and schematics.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on chillers, including oil changes, filter replacements, and component inspections to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, valves, and control systems, adhering to safety protocols and manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct performance testing and analysis of chiller systems, identifying and resolving inefficiencies to optimize energy consumption.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Diploma Iin Engineering or equivalent, with a strong preference for candidates with vocational training in HVAC/R or a related field.

  • Holds relevant certifications such as EPA 608 for refrigerant handling and other industry-recognized qualifications, such as RETA.

  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of chiller compressor systems.

  • Exhibits a deep understanding of various chiller types, including centrifugal, screw, and reciprocating compressors.
