Roles & Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

  • Preparation of civil & structural design drawings for substation projects (Indoor/Outdoor GIS/AIS).
  • Design of:
    • Substation control buildings
    • Transformer foundations
    • Cable trenches
    • Equipment foundations
    • Boundary walls & roads
    • Oil containment pits
  • Structural design and analysis as per DEWA standards.
  • Preparation of design calculations, BOQ, and technical specifications.
  • Coordination with electrical, MEP, and project teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with DEWA regulations, local authority approvals, and international codes (BS, ACI, Eurocodes).
  • Review and approval of shop drawings.
  • Site coordination and resolving technical issues.
  • Preparation of design reports and submission documents for DEWA approval.
