Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create detailed and accurate civil engineering drawings, including site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and architects to interpret and translate design concepts into actionable drawings, enhancing project efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced CAD software to produce high-quality 2D and 3D renderings that clearly communicate project specifications to stakeholders.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers and clients, ensuring that all modifications align with project goals and timelines.
  • Maintain organized documentation of design revisions and project changes, facilitating effective communication and project tracking.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data, take measurements, and assess project conditions, integrating real-world insights into design accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and presentation materials that illustrate design proposals and project progress to clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Implement industry standards and best practices in drafting processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all project deliverables.
  • Support project managers in cost estimation and resource allocation by providing accurate drawings and design specifications.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in drafting technology and civil engineering trends to continually enhance personal and team capabilities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field is a must, showcasing a solid foundation in civil principles.
  • Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in civil drafting, with a portfolio that demonstrates expertise in various civil engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit is essential for efficient design and drafting.
  • Certification from a recognized drafting or engineering body enhances credibility and showcases commitment to professional development.
  • Experience working on large-scale civil projects, such as infrastructure or urban development, is preferred, demonstrating capability in complex environments.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in international projects, indicating adaptability to diverse regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in English is required, with additional language skills considered an asset for collaboration in multilingual environments.
