Role Overview

The Civil Draughtsman is responsible for preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and plans for civil engineering projects. This role supports engineers and project managers by translating design concepts into accurate technical drawings that comply with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings, plans, and layouts for civil and structural works (roads, buildings, bridges, utilities, etc.).
• Convert engineering designs and calculations into technical drawings using AutoCAD or other CAD software.
• Maintain and update drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of shop drawings, as-built drawings, and submission packages.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Ensure proper layer management, dimensioning, and detailing for clarity and precision.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and material lists from drawings when required.
• Archive and manage all drawing documentation in an organized system.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering or Draftsmanship.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Civil Draughtsman in construction, infrastructure, or consultancy projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or other CAD software.
• Good knowledge of civil engineering standards, codes, and detailing practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
