Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers, actively participating in team meetings and sharing insights to streamline workflows.
- Perform calculations and analysis for load-bearing capacities, material quantities, and cost estimations, optimizing project efficiency.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys, meticulously documenting progress and identifying potential issues for proactive problem-solving.
- Assist in the design of structural components, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, contributing to project blueprints and specifications.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation, presenting findings clearly and concisely to facilitate effective communication.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, verifying their accuracy and identifying potential discrepancies to prevent errors.
- Supervise construction activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols for a secure work environment.
- Research and analyze data on materials, equipment, and construction methods, staying abreast of industry advancements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles.
- Holds relevant certifications, such as EIT (Engineer in Training) or equivalent, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrates an understanding of construction practices and materials, showcasing practical knowledge of the industry.
- Requires no prior industry experience, as this is an entry-level position, providing the opportunity to learn and grow.
- Has a strong grasp of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software, highlighting technical proficiency in design tools.
- Exhibits excellent problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing challenges and devising effective solutions.
- Displays effective communication and teamwork skills, enabling seamless collaboration with project teams.
- Demonstrates a keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
- Possesses strong time management and organizational skills, allowing for the effective management of multiple projects.
- Displays proficiency in written and spoken English, facilitating clear communication within a diverse team.
