Job Description

A Civil Engineer designs, constructs, and maintains infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems. They ensure projects are safe, sustainable, and cost-effective by conducting site assessments, preparing designs, managing construction, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Civil engineers collaborate with architects, contractors, and government officials to deliver functional, durable, and efficient infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating detailed engineering designs and blueprints.
• Analyzing survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Overseeing the construction process to ensure it meets design specifications and safety standards.
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Inspecting project sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Preparing and submitting project reports, proposals, and technical documentation.
• Handling project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Evaluating the environmental impact of projects and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Supervising construction teams, subcontractors, and workers.
• Ensuring quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conducting regular inspections and upgrading aging infrastructure.
• Diagnosing structural issues and recommending repairs.
• Coordinating with other professionals like architects, surveyors, and contractors.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in civil engineering, preferably in commercial or retail project management.

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Primavera, etc.) and other design and project management tools.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Team Player: Team-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
