Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 5 years or Diploma with 10 years local construction experience in Substation or power projects

1. Completely aware of DEWA Substation design, Specifications and RFC/Standard Drawings.

2. Responsible to ensure and satisfy the project quality, progress schedule, housekeeping and HSE requirements during the entire project lifecycle.

3. Adequate knowledge of DEWA ITP system and follows all the inspections and activities progress as per the ITP procedures.

4. Exercise adequate control, supervision and monitoring of Civil Contractor for the project and other subcontractor, vendors, material supplier and their works.

5. Monitor the materials procurement, readiness and manpower availability by the Civil Contractor to avoid any delays in the site progress.

6. Monitor the performance and skill level of Subcontractor’s personnel including Engineers, supervisors, foreman and charge hands works and activities at site.

7. Liaising and ensuring proper coordination with Client, DEWA and other Govt. bodies, DU, Etisalat, subcontractor, vendors, suppliers etc. for smooth functioning of site works.

8. Review, supervise & witnessing of all civil works, carries out internal inspections without any comments and ensures compliance of all the HSE requirements in coordination with QC Engineer before raising RFI’s for Consultant/DEWA Engineer.

9. Attends all the site inspections with Consultant/DEWA Engineer as per ITP and checklist requirements.

10. Ensuring compliance of all site process in coordination with QC Engineer, such as material approval, site notes closing, raising RFI, FMR etc, all in line with DEWA procedures related to civil site works.
