Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily site construction activities related to:
- Piling works (steel piles, concrete piles, marine piling, driving and extraction)
- Precast concrete installation (precast blocks, beams, slabs, quay wall elements)
- Cast-in-situ concrete works (formwork, reinforcement, concrete placement)
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with technical specifications, method statements, and safety standards.
- Monitor progress, check quality, and report site issues to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
- Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications and ensure work is executed accordingly.
- Conduct toolbox talks, enforce safety regulations, and ensure all workers follow proper site practices.
- Prepare daily reports on labor, equipment, progress, and site conditions.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors as required.
- Resolve site issues promptly to avoid delays.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and organization on the job site.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant technical certification (preferred).
- Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in civil or marine construction projects.
- Proven experience in:
- Piling works (marine piling highly preferred)
- Precast concrete installation
- Cast-in-situ concrete works
- Strong understanding of marine construction methodologies and safety requirements.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and execute work per specifications.
- Good leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with marine site conditions such as tides, offshore coordination, and barge operations is an advantage.
