We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Inspector to ensure the quality and compliance of our construction projects. As a Civil Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting construction activities on road, bridge, highway, tunnel, and other infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil engineering, along with proven experience in project inspection, particularly in the Abu Dhabi region.""

Responsibilities

  • Inspection and Compliance: Conduct on-site inspections to ensure that construction activities adhere to project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant codes and standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and assess the quality of workmanship, materials, and construction methods to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records, including daily reports, photos, and any deviations from project specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address and resolve any issues related to construction quality and compliance.
  • Abu Dhabi Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of local regulations, standards, and construction practices in Abu Dhabi to ensure projects meet regional requirements.
  • Consultancy Experience: Apply your consultancy background to provide valuable insights and recommendations for optimizing construction processes.
  • Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety regulations on construction sites to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Testing and Validation: Oversee material testing processes and coordinate with laboratories to validate the quality of construction materials used in the projects.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on construction progress, highlighting any deviations or potential risks to project timelines.
  • Abu Dhabi Permitting: Facilitate the necessary permits and approvals from local authorities in Abu Dhabi, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 15 years of recent experience in engineering roles with construction consultants, specifically on utilities projects in Abu Dhabi.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale utilities projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of local regulations, standards, and best practices in Abu Dhabi.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to project management and design.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
