Civil Inspector - Micro Tunneling

Job Responsibilities:
• Understands the Contract drawings and specifications specific to his aspect of the work.
• Receives and attends the Inspection Requests, ensuring that works are carried out according. to specifications, Inspection and Testing Plan, method statement and approved shop drawings.
• Reports to his supervisor on site progress, quality and safety non compliances.
• Coordinates with other inspectors on joint inspections.
• Assists in the taking-off of site measurements and checking of such measurements on site.
• Maintains contemporary site records and photographs.
• Assists his supervisor in the preparation of the daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by his superior.


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Institution to the approval of the Engineer.
• Minimum 10 years demonstrable experience of supervision of similar sewage projects which not less than 5 years shall be in works related to Sewerage Networks projects with particular emphasis on Micro knowledge of surveying methods and techniques monitoring micro tunnel site activities, review drive records. Must possess the tunnelling works procedures, machinery setup, He must possess the ability to supervise/inspect large scale civil works.
• Experience should also include construction involving Micro Tunnelling works, structural concrete, piping installations in open tranches, road works, paving, etc.
• Basic Knowledge in Surveying and use of Surveying Equipment on site. Familiar with Qatar Construction Standards.
