Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, project timelines, and quality standards, guaranteeing project success.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, monitoring their performance, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough site inspections and quality control checks, identifying and rectifying any defects or deviations from the approved plans and specifications.
  • Prepare detailed daily and weekly progress reports, documenting site activities, resource allocation, and any issues encountered during the construction process.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications, providing clear instructions and guidance to the construction team.
  • Manage and monitor the procurement and delivery of construction materials, ensuring timely availability and efficient utilization on site.
  • Implement and enforce site safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, and project managers, providing technical support, and resolving any design or construction-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including material usage, labor hours, and equipment operation, to support project cost control.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets, schedules, and cost estimates, contributing to the successful execution of construction projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices.
  • Holds relevant professional certifications, such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering or construction, showcasing practical knowledge and expertise.
  • Exhibits proven experience in the construction industry, with a focus on site management and project execution.
  • Displays proficiency in using relevant software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management tools, enhancing efficiency.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling effective identification and resolution of construction challenges.
  • Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
