Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage on-site construction activities for road and infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct detailed site inspections, monitor progress, and proactively identify and resolve any technical issues or deviations from the design plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and efficient resource allocation.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and quality standards, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and other technical documents to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Participate in project meetings, provide technical expertise, and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Liaise with clients and consultants, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the project's progress.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in road and infrastructure construction projects.
- Demonstrates proficiency in using relevant engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design tools.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams.
- Shows strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex issues and propose practical solutions.
- Demonstrates effective project management skills, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
- Is a highly motivated and results-oriented individual, with a proactive approach to work.
- Is proficient in English, both written and spoken, with additional language skills considered an asset.
